eLearning Corner uses instructional design best practices, tempered with years of feedback from students. We think the retention points covered in Made to Stick by Chip and Dean Heath describe our approach to eLearning well:

• Credible: A current relevant news story appears in each module.
• Concrete: Workplace examples and workplace quiz questions map the topic to the employee environment.
• Unexpected: A "Did you know" counter-intuitive point in each module
• Simple and Concrete: We avoid unnecessary words when making a point. Our editors keep language simple and clear.
• Conversational: Course content uses a conversational tone to enhance learning.
• Stories: Our courses include relevant IT security current events in each course module.
• Relevant illustrations: bond the message with an image.

These methods result in longer retention and enhanced IT Security Awareness, bringing about positive behavioral change.
